My first carved Pumpkin!!!

And it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be..... I do however want to 'have', no, refrase I 'need' this special knife we used for it at the communitycenter at Coal Harbour....Just to do it again, so handy! even to use to cut up all the pumpkins for all the soups I like to make. (now you know how my shopping-alterego works)

The best Pumpkinsoup of our Family this season is: with Thyme/Bayleave/Sage!!!!
Yummie.
Just fry onions, add garlic and cutted pumpkin, bake. Add herbs, (If you have fresh just bundle it up with a piece, say: onion, or leek) Add veg.stock (or chicken if you like) and just leave it on the stove. Puree the mass, season it with salt to your likings. Serve with some sourcreme. we love to eat it together with a toasted sandwich and goatcheese!!!!

little acorns....

Everywhere we see the squirrels being very busy ticking out the acorns out of the oak trees, collecting it one by one, making a hole, to put the acorn in and tapping the earth with their little feet. It was a fight to collect some for ourselves.
As we see a lot of these felted ones around here, (I saw them at Lena's place, beautifull! and at http://littleseedlings2.blogspot.com/ and... still I can add some more, later...

I think for me this is a great way to get the colours of autumn inside our place. We will make a little guirlande of these or with a little embroidery with it on linen. think it will be nice. to be continued....
Seattle! we loved being there

dried leaves

A lovely way to take fall with you in your home is simply dry some found leaves in a thick book, to flatten them aswell, and stick it on your window!
You will find out by doing this, which leaves fall first... we have some oakleaves hanging by now aswell.

A sweet corner in our livingroom

With Lena's beautiful gnome house, made for julia. A pincushion (why not make a nice one for in the livingroom!) and a painting of my own hand, which presents for me my motherly love.

The advantage of using a stitch in such a project I haven't use a lot before: a real good practise!
now they are solid, same looking and I am ready for my big project!

making the name work....with sweet dolls celebrating....

mushrooms

Mushrooms

Last weekend we were at Alice Lake. Last time camping this season, with 2 degrees below zero.
Company was great, Campground great, hikes great and great mushrooms. Because the woods are so moist, there are many varieties to be found. As a small child I have been walking
around and here are some of my pictures I made of them. Fall really is here!
